Florida-Based Firm Steps Into Private Client World

Tampa, FL-based LCG Advisors has created LCG Private Client Group, a registered investment advisor providing private wealth planning and investment management services to business owners, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals and families. The formation of LCG's Private Client Group follows an investment by Gregg Smith, co-founder of Smith Breeden Associates, an investment advisory firm that manages portfolios for pension funds, foundations, insurance companies, private banks and sovereign funds. In conjunction with the launch of LCG Private Client Group, the firm has hired Rafael Williamson as chief investment officer. Williamson joins the firm with over 18 years of investment management experience serving HNW clients and institutional investors. Most recently, he was the senior investment strategist at Wells Fargo Private Bank. “The formation of a wealth management platform is a natural progression to our core business,” said Brian Smith, managing partner and co-founder of LCG Advisors . Other key hires include Vincent Della Rocca as managing director and Kevin Daniels as chief operating officer and chief compliance officer. Della Rocca has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sphere, including investment and commercial banking, insurance, real estate development and financial technology. In his new role at LCG he will develop relationships with entrepreneurs and executives. LCG said it will continue serving corporations in the areas of capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and succession and exit planning. Founded in 2003, LCG is a transaction advisory firm specializing in loan and investment due diligence, corporate finance and M&A, financial restructuring, risk mitigation and other advisory services. Clients include commercial banks, asset-based lenders, mezzanine funds, hedge funds, private equity funds and, now, private clients.
